Privacy Policy

Last updated: 28 October 2026

Reiki.cn is a free site for learning about Reiki. You can read articles, use the practice tools and browse events without an account.

What we collect

  • Feedback. If you use the Feedback button, we keep your message, the page it was sent from, and a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address to stop spam. Your email is collected only if you choose to give it, so we can reply.
  • Accounts (optional). If you create an account for the forums, we keep your username, email and password, plus any profile details and posts you choose to add. Posts and profile details you make public can be seen by other visitors.
  • Technical data. Our hosting and Cloudflare (which protects the site) handle standard technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and block attacks. WordPress sets cookies needed for signing in.

What we don’t do

  • The breathing and timer tools run in your browser and don’t save anything to our servers.
  • We don’t sell personal information, and we don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
  • Events link to the organiser’s own page. Anything you share with an organiser is covered by their privacy policy.

Why we use it

To run the site, reply to feedback, fix problems and keep the site safe.

Your choices

Use the Feedback button on any page to ask to see, correct or delete your information, or to close your account.

Forum moderation and reports

If you have a forum account, posts you write may be held for moderator review before they appear (for example your first two posts, posts mentioning medical treatment, or links from new members). If you use the Report link, we store the post reported, the reason and optional note you give, and either your account ID or a one-way hashed IP address (to limit abuse). Moderators use reports only to review content. The sign-up form uses a hidden anti-spam field and a timing check; these store nothing about you.

Wellbeing notice: Reiki is a complementary relaxation practice. Content and listings on Reiki.cn are not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and Reiki is not a substitute for care from a qualified health professional. Practitioner details are self-declared by members.
