Joining a Reiki share or circle: what to expect

A Reiki share (or circle) is an informal gathering where people who practise Reiki meet to practise together, swap experiences and support each other. Some are in person, others online.

What usually happens

  • A short welcome and introductions.
  • A few minutes of Gassho or reciting the principles together.
  • Practice time, often in pairs or small groups, taking turns.
  • A chance to share how it went, then a close.

Simple etiquette

  • Arrive on time and switch your phone to silent.
  • Always ask before touching anyone, and respect a hands-off request.
  • Keep what others share private.
  • Don’t use the circle to sell services.

Finding a share

Ask your teacher, check the events page, or post in the Events & Circles forum. You can also join or start a regional group to meet members near you.
